I specialize in Senior, Family, Engagement, and Couples Portraiture as well as Event and Editorial Photography. While based in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex, I am happy to travel wherever, across the country or world.
Patient Approach
Photography is about capturing moments, not forcing them. I strongly believe that you can't truly capture someone in a 20 minute "mini-session"; which is why I book longer timeframes, take the time to get to know you, and I don't stress about a shoot going a little over on time.
Candid Experience
Capturing the perfect moment means being ready for them to happen at anytime. When you shoot with SDP, don't be surprised to hear the shutter fire "in-between" poses; in my experience, almost a third of the images that get picked by my clients were ones that they weren't perfectly posed for.
Do you travel outside of DFW?
Absolutely! The cost depends on how far away we are going, but is generally cheaper than expected.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I do offer flexible payment arrangements. Please contact me to discuss the available options.
May I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Though we do ask that you limit guests that are not going to be photographed to one person. Also note that any per person fees (such as admission tickets) are the responsibility of the client.
Do you provide hair and makeup (HAMU)?
I work with a number of terrific make-up artists and hairstylists that I am happy to refer you to.
How long does processing the photos take?
Proofs are generally available within one week of shooting and provided via an online gallery for your review. Once you pick out the ones you love most, final edits are typically delivered within 2-3 weeks.
What kind of cameras do you use?
I exclusively use Fujifilm camera bodies, specifically the X-T5 and (occasionally) the X100F.
